Frequently Asked Questions ....
We are based in Shelf, Halifax, West Yorkshire. In the interests of the health and well-being of the Birds, we will travel for approximately 4 hours to reach a venue. If in any doubt, please ask us!
How far are you prepared to travel to put on a show?
We're sorry, no - they can't. It simply would not be fair to the Birds; these Birds are magnificent creations of Nature who we share this planet with .... they are "tame" in that they live happily amongst us, but they are by no means domestic pets. Also, even the cleanest hands will leave residue on the Bird's feathers which is not desirable.
Can visitors to your show stroke and pet the Birds?
What size area do I need to set aside for a show?
Our BRONZE PACKAGE requires an area of 13 metres x 7 metres
Our SILVER PACKAGE requires an area of 13 metres x 7 metres plus use of an arena
For our GOLD PACKAGE we require an area of 13 metres x 7 metres plus an arena of 30 metres x 20 metres
If I book a BRONZE PACKAGE (a STATIC Display) then decide that I'd like to upgrade to SILVER or GOLD on the day; is this possible?
Yes, certainly! Just as long as you can allocate the space required, you can upgrade your package in response to events as they unfold - such as your takings on the gate.
On a Hawk Experience Day, do I get the opportunity to handle the Birds?
Yes, you do! Under supervision (and suitably gloved up) you will be able to experience first-hand all that is involved in the flying of a Hawk. Who knows? From your experience you may decide to take up the "Sport Of Kings" yourself!
We carry full Public Liability Insurance and a Performing Animals Licence.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, we carry full Public Liability Insurance and we have a Performing Animals Licence.
Do you invite members of the public into the arena?
Yes! We do call members of the public into the arena - young and old!
A quality range of falconry displays.
What do we consider to be a "good" falconry display? Any event where you and your visitors go away happy and excited by what you have seen is a good days work for us! Any event where the birds have flown and enjoyed their day also, is a "good" show ....
